1:1 Support for Students Harmed

SAVE's Community Education team offers 1:1 peer counseling and support for middle and high school students who have been harmed by teen dating violence. Students are typically referred to our team by school counselors.

Peer counseling and support may include:

  • Safety planning
  • Referrals to other resources
  • Offering a non-judgmental space to discuss the harm done and validate the student's feelings
  • Other forms of support identified by the student

SAVE can offer referrals to community resources and free BetterHelp sessions to youth experiencing teen dating violence. Please access these services through our 24/7 crisis line at (510) 794-6055. Mandated reporting stipulations apply to therapy practitioners.
