Our Youth Support Groups are a referral-based space for youth to build community, support each other in building healthy relationships and navigating challenges, and gain knowledge and support from SAVE’s Community Education team.
Youth Support Groups aim to support youth as they navigate difficult situations in their relationships and their understanding of how to embody healthy relationships. We seek to achieve these goals as a means of preventing potential violence in the community. Groups are offered at school sites and students are referred to SAVE's team by school staff (e.g., counselors). Our team will work with school staff to decide a structure that best meets the school's needs (e.g., cohort-style, drop-in, etc.).
Examples of Youth Support Group Topics:
- Identifying and Communicating Emotions
- Identity/Self-Love
- Challenging Conversations
- Healthy Relationships
- Boundary-Setting
- Other topics you feel that your community would benefit from!
We look forward to serving you!
