Symbiosis is a free, youth-led summit that promotes healthy relationship skills to prevent violence in the community. Symbiosis is planned by Team STYT and SAVE's Community Education Team every year in honor of Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. A new theme is chosen every year by the new Team STYT cohort, but it always includes:

A free resource fair
Free workshops for youth
Free art projects
Free prizes and goodies
Free food and drinks
Priceless community building, education, and empowerment

History of Symbiosis

During Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month in 2018, youth leaders wanted to bring awareness to the impact of teen dating violence in the community and create an inclusive, empowering space made for youth, by youth. These youth leaders were the original members of Team STYT, and as a result of their advocacy, Symbiosis was created! The event is going strong all of these years and continues to be the major project of Team STYT and SAVE's Community Education Team.
